Poker Challenge 2- Success after 15 odd free rolls - 1 views
I have been playing a few free rolls over the past two weeks but its only recently that i have found my form again. Enough form to finish well into the quarter of all the free rolls. Today i sat down at the daily Silver Sands Free Roll and decided to apply myself.
A lack of patience saw me a few times get knocked out in the bubble position..just outside the money. Today was different. I applied my new style of play and chose my cards very carefully, not TAG( Tight Aggressive) style but picked my hands according to strength of hand vs. position vs. betting history. It worked and I drew blood!
I played a very good game, at a few instances it seemed that i was doomed to be knocked out by calling donkeys, river rats…players just getting lucky on the river, despite being beaten on the flop. Unfortunately, these type of players are part of the world of poker.
I got to the final table pretty much short stacked and picked up a few pots to keep me running. At this late stage, the play is very tight and bluffs are minimal. You either have the nuts or you don’t!
The final hand with pocket 2′s: All i wanted to do was flat call and he raised all-in and i called! i knew i was beaten before i called the all-in but at this late stage, loosing my initial call was not worth it. 3rd Place, for now, is fine with me!
