6,681th out of 46105 Players in the BLT - 1 views

I finally got a chance to play in a mass tournament on Full Tilt and it was very exciting( The Big Little Tournament). As i mentioned before, i won my seat through a  satellite.

I must admit that i was a little intimidated at first at the thought of playing for such a big purse of $250 000 and against 46000 players, but the excitement definately drove my ambition to do well.

My first table was very tight. No raises or limpers in any pots. All the play was between the small and big blinds for about the first hour, which was very strange to see as most players can be very loose in the starting stages.

I doubled up quickly after the first break to about 3000 chips(started with 1500) and then rose to about 4500. Took a knock with AQ suited against a small stack-helped him double up, but generally hovered around 3000chips until after the 2nd break.

I withered down to 1500 chips(blinds 250/500 and ante of 50) at about the 7500 player mark(money mark) when i shoved in with JQ suited in big blind position with to callers. Needless to say i was very nervous at the two callers but hit a lucky full house!!!

The very next hand i was dealt JJ. All players folded, i raised to 3000. And big and small blind shoved. I called and that was the end of my tourney. I was knocked out on the river with pocket kings.

In retrospect i should’ve of been patient and not played the jacks so aggressively but the moment got the better of me. I am still proud that i lasted so long and in finishing ahead of a few Full Tilt pro-poker players.
